JEWELRY MAINTENANCE TIPS
Some basic care should be taken with all your jewelry. Dust, pollution and wear resulting from daily use, and as a result of exposure to the external environment, can dull the shine of precious stones. The surface of platinum, gold and silver jewelry may scratch and/or lose its shine. Damaged claws, clasps and buckles can make it easier to lose a gem or parts of the jewelry.
Take care to protect your jewelry from impacts against hard surfaces and avoid contact with abrasive surfaces. Even a diamond can scratch if hit with enough force and from a certain angle. Many stones such as amethyst, emerald, kunzite, opal, pearl, peridot, tanzanite, and tourmaline are very delicate and easily damaged, therefore, they require special care.
Gemstones can scratch other gemstones and wear away the surfaces of precious metals. Therefore, avoid stacking rings and bracelets that are more vulnerable to abrasion. Extreme temperatures, perfumes, cosmetics, ultrasonic cleaners and household chemicals can also damage jewelry.
We do not recommend the use of homemade cleaning methods, with household, chemical and/or abrasive solutions; as well as the use of brushes, brushes, tweezers and other utensils to clean the pieces that could cause damage to the structure, setting and finish of the Verse jewelry.
ATTENTION | Examine your jewelry regularly to check if there is a need for maintenance on the “claws” of the gems that were set, on the clasps, joints, etc. If you have any questions regarding maintenance, please contact MILANO CUPERTINO.
To maintain the quality of your jewelry, we suggest that it undergo professional maintenance once a year.
